Enchanted Mushroom Forest
I have painted since 2012 and this was the very first painting I made for myself at the end of 2021. This piece encompasses some of my favorite memories of my childhood. The raspberries remind me of my childhood home where my dad, brother, childhood dogs, and me would all go out and pick berries and my grandma would make different jams out of them. The toad reminds me of all the adventures my brother and I had in the summers in Alaska collecting toads in the front yard to see how many we could find. Amanitas are my moms favorite mushrooms and every time I see them they remind me of her. The little mushroom fairy house reminds me of the days my childhood best friend and I would spend all of our recess time recreating little fairy houses from kindergarten up until fifth grade. This piece holds a very special place in my heart and I will treasure it forever. I hope that this piece brings you joy as well💛
